Leeds Light Night
It's that time of year again when the city centre in Leeds is packed for two nights with people admiring the splendid display of illuminated street art 'installations'.
There's also a parade along the Headrow which kicks off the start of the festival.
I rather liked these oversized lanterns with the majestic Town Hall behind them.
It's a bit tricky taking photos at night with no tripod (which would have been a bit inconveneint in the crowds) but I managed to get some reasonable shots. A fun evening out it was.
This year the theme for the parade was of progress and innovation, celebrating 100 years of social change since (some) women got the vote.
The first two extras are of the parade, although I'm not sure how the second one relates to the theme. (?)
The third is Leeds Civic Hall like you have never seen it before.
The fourth is of two oversized figures appearing to be crawling right over the top of the Victoria centre.
