HM Coastguard Training

A breezy day, with showers.  The sun did come out last thing this evening, but soon vanished.

I'm still not well, so I've been off work again today.  The sore throat is easing tonight, it just leaves the sore ears and blocked sinuses.  I'll hopefully be back to work tomorrow.  Another day watching tv, and sitting by the fire.  Big Brian and Madeline popped by for a cuppa this evening, and also he put up new wallpaper in the bathroom.  Feet up by the fire tonight.

Thankfully my view can take my attention away from the telly, and also the view can be more interesting too.  Yesterday I watched the lifeboat, today it was helicopter training with the winch.  They lowered a man into the cold ocean, he was there for a while, and then another man lowered to rescue him.  This went on for a bit, and then the flare was set off too.  All these things I miss out on when at work.  You can see a man at the helicopter winch, second man below the helicopter and the third in the water at the flare.  Looking out at the Scalloway harbour, with Trondra behind, taken from Houl Road.
