The Tower
........ of what used to be the Victoria Hospital.
It has recently been restored and transformed into the Victoria Museum, in Victoria Park, Netley, which sits on the banks of the Solent in Southampton.
It is an interesting place full of historical facts and exhibits about the working hospital, its staff and patients during the Crimea War through to WW11. Queen Victoria laid the foundation stone and visited 20 times during her reign, primarily when she was in residence at Osborne House a ross the water on the Isle of Wight.
As you can see from the sky, today hasnt been anywhere near as nice as yesterday, but we made the most of it. Lunch in the pub and a walk in Victoria Park afterwards.
Hubs sis and BiL are out this evening, as they had bought tickets to an event, long before we agreed on the dates for our visit, so we are home alone so to speak.
Just a light snack tonight, after fish and chips at lunchtime...... ;-)
We have a day out planned for to orrow, the forecast is much better again, fingers crossed!
