Dun Laoghaire Day

Today my 2 friends treated me to a day in DL to make up for missing Portugal.

We had morning coffee in 2Beans with a little chocolatey thing then browsed the various shops. Rachel wanted to buy this

We headed down to Glasthule and had oysters and scallops in Cavistons followed by an excellent coffee in Mitchells. My extra is Ms Marple who had her coffee, fag, crossword and a read of The Gloss sitting outside Mitchells.

Then we had a walk down the pier and chatted non stop. We covered the following topics

Margaret’s tendonitis
Rachel’s dog Boris and his naughtiness
Upcoming theatre visit
What films to watch
Lending Margaret a dress for upcoming wedding
Trip to Belfast for the 3 of us

Etc

I will have a quiet cup of tea now before attending book club at 8 where a lot more topics will be covered and maybe just maybe someone will mention the book

Work tomorrow and a large dose of reality
