I had a long (5 hour) meeting in Edinburgh, so my 15 minute walks between the station and the hotel were my only escape from work.

One irony is that having cut off the north east section of the planned line so as to save money, what's left doesn't do much more than follow the railway line from the city centre out to the airport boundary. They could have saved mega £m by just adding a few railway stations to the line...
