La Garrotxa
Santa Pau is in a volcanic area, and we visited one with a guide this morning, La Garrotxa, only 10,000 years old. Not looking as I expected as it has been shaped and formed recently by man, and held in place by iron, to preserve it and protect it from the elements. Still looking impressive.
After a delicious lunch, we walked in a beech wood La Fageda d'en Jorda, formed on the volcanic lava, very peaceful and beautiful.
I seem to have developed a nasty cough and am not feeling my best, so declined going out for dinner tonight.... Have added extras as usual, including a couple of the hotel and of my rather lovely room, if you are interested:))
Huge thanks again for looking and comments etc... sorry again for not responding x
