What's on?

On the noticeboard in the museum a number of interesting events are advertised. I really like the sound of this one. For many of us, a winter project helps wile away the dark months. Gathering together with others, both to work on a chosen craft project, and to talk, is such a good idea.

This was a very full day! Even so, several items on our 'to do' list have had to be struck off. Just not enough time!

We both enjoyed the exhibition at the textile museum at the Bod, Lerwick. A wide variety of knitted items to study, ranging from the most delicate vintage lace shawls to a knitted, knitting octopus made for this year's competition.

Our evening workshops at Hoswick were both excellent. Curious how, whatever our age, we swell with pride when praised by our teacher! We chattered like over-excited school children all the way 'home'.
