Over the last few years I've come to appreciate birds more and more. Although puffins will always be my favourite I do have a soft spot for geese as well. I was really glad that I didn't give I didn't ignore the alarm clock this morning and went on the train down to Montrose to see the geese flying from Montrose Baisin. I just had to stand on the bridge going over the tracks to see the spectacle. The sunrise was lovely as well.I was going to go to the Wildlife Centre but it wasn't open till half 10 and I was feeling rather tired by then. I am going to go again in the October holidays though as apparently the middle of October is when they are at the peak with 40,000 last year. I don't fancy having the job of counting them!
