Loafers

I love some of the words and phrases I've learnt since becoming part of the birding fraternity! Gulls, for instance, hanging around doing very little are said to be loafing
The wind had turned to a Northerly today, so I donned an extra layer for the walk along the shingle from Thorpeness to Aldeburgh. After a browse around the shops, we had a nice lunch before heading back via one of the fish shacks along the seafront.
The wildlife highlight was a Wheatear on the beach. The photo has gone into extras, as, although it was better than I had anticipated, it was not as sharp as I would have liked.
