Windfall

Our apple windfall didn't happen because of a wind storm or a tree accidently fallng, no, we suddenly had buckets of apples to deal with when we pruned and cut and hacked away at the apple trees hanging over and onto the long tarp carport in our driveway. That happened last Wednesday, but it took until today to finally salvage what I could by making applesauce. The fun part was sitting out in the glorious day cutting up apples.
Another fun part of today was getting up with the birds. Actually, getting up before the birds and walking to town before sunrise to watch those same swifts leave the chimney they had slept in the night before. See the Extra.
