Harvesting

The time has come to harvest her pumpkin! We’ve got to keep it until the end of October though for the grand weigh in. B is away then so we’ve agreed we will make and freeze pumpkin soup with it for her return!

A lovely day all round. Katies enjoying tuesdays at school as it’s pupil council and dancing at lunchtime. They get to have their lunch on trays and go to the council meeting, then she goes off early to go to dance class. Suits her perfectly! Meanwhile B and I were “ladies that lunch” which was a really lovely bit of time out in the day.

When I picked Katie up, I was returning with her to B for a cuppa with Katie and her aural lesson. They also started work on their new duet piece. They’re doing Brahms’ Hungarian Dance no 5 and it will suit the two of them so well, I can’t wait to hear it performed! It’s the last year they can enter this duet section, which Katie will be very sad about as she loves that particular festival and specifically doing that class with B.

We headed straight from Bs to dancing- she chose to miss a bit of commercial so she could have the music lesson, but we made for the last 20ish minutes and the whole of her contemporary class. She was looking very tired when she came out, though sleep was a little while in coming.
