A Change of Plan
Due to a stormy wet front passing over Imperial War Museum, Duxford, for much of today, our plan to meet friends at the air show there was, after much agonising, changed. We were feeling rather disappointed, but our deflation was tempered when B suggested we go out for Sunday lunch instead. Unfortunately, most of the much-loved venues were fully-booked, (it was rather short notice), but happily we were fitted in at The Sea Marge Hotel in Overstrand. B gives an account of the interesting history of this attractive period house in her blip, so I won’t repeat it here.

One of the features of the hotel is a comfortable lounge with a generous selection of games, just perfect for a rainy day, even though the sun was making brief appearances through the rather grey sky by then. We took advantage of this facility and spent a happy half hour over our coffee quizzing each other with ‘Trivial Pursuit’ questions. I have included an extra of the pretty glass chess set and also one of attractive round windows, of which there were many in the hotel.
Thank you, B, for a fab lunch, such a splendid idea!
The main photo is of Overstrand Beach which we enjoyed admiring on our way out from the hotel, a bit of a blipsnap with B, but I couldn't resist the pretty seascape.
