Donkey orchid

George insisted on being taken for a you know what this morning.  So we went into the Park, where we were blown away by the orchids in flower at the moment.

Easily the best season for years.  So the weather factors must have been exactly right.

This one is a Donkey Orchid - all our native orchids are terrestrial, and usually quite shy.  In other words you need to have your orchid eyes on to spot them.  Not this year - there are meadows - never seen it like this before.
