Approaching Boston airport

Wednesday
With Roger now retired, it has been wonderful to be able to spend six and a half weeks over in Europe this year, but all good things must come to an end as they say, so today we were heading back home. We left Roger’s sister’s in Appleton about 9 am for a 12.15 flight from Manchester to Boston. We had plenty of time to have a coffee while we waited. It was a Virgin Atlantic flight, co-shared with Delta. They wouldn’t have made much money on today’s flight, as it was only about 2/3 full, if that! It was rather bumpy as we took off and climbed to cruising altitude, as we were catching the edge of Storm Ali. The food was actually quite tasty as far as airline food goes. There weren’t any films that appealed to me to watch, but there were a couple of TV shows, so between eating, watching a couple of shows and reading, the flight passed quite quickly. As my heading says, my photograph was taken as we were coming in to land in Boston. We had a comfortable layover, which was just as well, since customs and immigration lines were pretty long. Our next flight left more or less on time, and we arrived in Cincinnati early at about 8.15., though of course to our body clocks that was 1.15 am, so by the time we got home, I headed straight up to bed!
