A Day of Touring
Dear Diary,
A perfect day for touring the lovely Perthshire countryside. Our drive over the hills and through the glens offered spectacular vistas of mountains and lochs and heather covered hills. We saw some funny yellow sheep with curly horns too.
We visited the monument to Maggie Wall who was burned as a witch in 1657 and then St. Serf’s Church in Dunning. The tower was built n 1200 AD. It contained a rare Pictish Cross from 800AD. The light through the 19th century windows were stunning.
Off back to Glasgow tomorrow for a final two days before flying home Tuesday.
