It’s not how you start

First cross country of the season and a silly start where Kitty got jostled and pushed aside.
After that she ran a great race, after 200m she had pulled herself into seventh position then steadily picked off the opposition until she was in fourth place.
She turned the bend and sprinted uphill to grab second place.
Her technique, stamina , strength, tactics and determination were on the button.
I know she is my granddaughter and this may seem over the top but honestly it was a text book performance.
Kitty’s effort was phenomenal and her Grandy ( a former England athletic coach) said it was a near perfect performance , don’t think l’ve heard Mr P give praise like that before
