Cack Handed

Did something rather silly at the start of the week.
The orchid in my bathroom was protruding forwards and l couldn’t pull the blind down.
With my infamous delicate touch l manouvered the stem oh so deftly back into the recess and promptly snapped it.
In this house we call it cack-handed
Motto:- Don’t argue with nature.
So now in my guilt l have to look at it languishing in a little ex vinegar jug, knowing l have curtailed it’s expected long life.
I do like how the jug handle continues the curve of the stem.
The least l could do to make amends was to use it for Flower Friday and give it its place in posterity. Thanks Anni.
The plant is fine and l expect it will produce more blooms in time but it too looks a little bereft at the moment.

Had a very busy couple of days in school but have left Friday free. Will be spending some of that time catching up on blip.

For so long we have done Granny/ Grandy duty on a Friday that l’m just getting used to the idea that the afternoon and evening is now our own and we can go to the gym and maybe then the cinema or we might leave the latter till Sunday.
