Double Amaryllis

What a rainy day - sun one minute and then it pours down!!  Geoff went out to take the last apples from the smallest tree we have, but it is most prolific.  Not sure what to do with the two buckets - I have made apple and mint jelly in the past.  he then went to cut some of the trees and he got soaked.  They need to cut to make them wind resistant as we get very strong winds from the moor.

Today we had five young pheasants in the garden - the word must be going out that there is food available.  The cock bird is slowly gaining some colour and does not look quite as scraggy the rest are hen birds.
