Success!

Every Tuesday afternoon after school, James plays football. He does enjoy it, but not with the same passion as his sister. I think the main reason he continues is because all his friends are playing.

At the end of each session, the coaches award medals for effort, team playing, etc. Every week James really tries his best, and every week he has seen the medal go to someone else. And then to try and lift his spirits we have the conversation as to why its still so important to keep trying and eventually he will succeed (I always have my fingers crossed behind my back at this point, as I know there are more children than there are weeks, so not everyone will get the coveted medal!!)

Anyway today all his efforts paid off and it was his turn to get the medal! He was SO over the moon! As you can see, he still had it on when he got into his pjs... in fact his football shirt had to go back on over his pj top for this shot!
