Surgery Arrest!

... as opposed to house arrest! This morning a routine trip to the surgery to have my blood pressure checked, which should have taken about 10 minutes, took considerably longer!

Basically it was a bit too high... so high in fact that the first few readings wouldn't register on the digital machine, so they had to switch to the old fashioned mercury manometer / stethoscope combo. After confirming it was in fact that high, I was told I had to see a doctor today and that "we can't let you leave the surgery with blood pressure that high!"

So after a lot of waiting around (which of course is designed to help the patient with high blood pressure!?!) I finally got to see a doctor. He gave me a full medical MOT, and to cut a long story short, I was sent away with medication. Back next week to see if these have had an effect!

It's funny really, because I do feel very well at the moment, but you see the computer says no...!
