Hanging on
Somedays, actually every day, it's difficult to get Olivia out of the playground at school. She always has a new trick to show us which mainly involves climbing, hanging and jumping - this seems to be quite typical of this age judging by the antics of the other children in her class! Perhaps I'll take her to the climbing wall soon as she keeps asking if she can have a go.
We had a meeting at the creche this evening to talk about Dexter's progress which was very informal but it seems that he is a very happy little boy and plays with all the children but especially Gabriel who has been his partner in crime since day one. He does speak French and when he does it is very clear and he understands most of what is being said, but he still uses a lot of English through the day which is understandable (he is the only child at the creche from a complete anglophone home). He loves drawing and painting and is always one of the first to sit at the table to start an activity. He does music on a Wednesday afternoon which apparently he really loves as they have been trying different musical instruments and today he made gaufres (waffles) in the kitchen - I dread to think about the mess that was made!
