All my own work

This is our water supply which I have just tidied up before the onslaught of winter. The water comes out of a hole in the ground into our concrete basin before disappearing down the pipe into the house. Not  a com;plicated set-up.
As it was our only supply for the first fourteen years of ownership we never had it tested in case it proved to be poisonous. Apart from my hair falling out, we seem to have survived.
When the commune purchased a source further up the valley to add to the town supply, on testing it proved to contain too much arsenic, not always a surprise in granite areas. The solution was to literally water it down with water from another source to reduce the levels.
Happy to stick to our own free water.
