Old Friends

This a childhood friend of mine, Anne. We first met when were about 12 years old and even though we have lost touch a couple of times over the years we always manage to reconnect.
We use to meet and talk about boys and each of us ended up marrying our high school boyfriends. Now we meet and talk about our adult children.
We met at a diner tonight and its as if we never are at a loss for words. Hours go by before we realize it. When I asked if I could snap her photo for my Blip she initially was hesitant. Then I assured her that nobody we know in this country would probably even see it and so she agreed.
