Sarah and I nipped across to Salford to the Imperial War Museum North;  we were lucky to catch the poppies in between the heavy rain showers. See extras for a few more. 

We spent a few hours in the fascinating museum, ate cake then came home. I am still drowning in work, but ever hopeful of an escape before Christmas.
