Morpho Peleides

Mum and I woke up to a rather dull day for our first day in Spain - we even felt the need to take umbrellas when we ventured out but thankfully didn't really need them.

After a slow start to the day, we stocked up on provisions, ate lunch and then took the bus to one of my favourite places - the butterfly park. And, oh, what a great variety of butterflies were to be seen today! This shot was taken almost as soon as we had arrived - it's such a rare treat for these beautiful butterflies to settle with their wings open and then on a flower, too, was a real bonus!

It's been a very hot and humid day but the sun was shining by the time we'd finished in the butterfly park. We were glad to sit with our feet in the pool to cool down once we were home again.
