Diary of an Edinburgher

Wet walk

A sunshine and showery day. Archie and I walked through the Hermitage, JR dropping us off at the carpark. We got soaked in the middle of it, and came home in sunshine. Actually, we didn’t get too wet - we sheltered under the trees for a while.

Our dog sitter, Wendy, arrives tomorrow. JR is busy making vegetable curry for tea. Wendy is a vegan, so my sausages and spuds speciality won’t do. She'll be looking after Archie for a whole month! This was kind of an accident, as we had a two week holiday organised in September, then booked another another two weeks in October, with a couple of days in between. However, Wendy kindly agreed to stay on for the whole time. Phew!

I had another look at the (unclear) KEEP CLEAR sign from yesterday, and realised that it is, in fact, supposed to be for the big black rubbish bin, which is on the next car parking space. I have sent them another photo (Extra) to include the bin, with the observation that the bin men should be issued with the parking notice, not me. Which may have scuppered my chances of a reprieve...
