Diary of an Edinburgher

Archie meets a rabbit - no - a dachshund!

Archie started barking hysterically in the lounge this morning - and no wonder - there was a car, hanging in the air, right above our hedge! They were moving cars to re-paint the road markings. Though they didn’t actually need re-doing. The cars were just being moved, not taken away, I went to enquire.

We popped down to print off the boarding passes at Christine's. I know you shouldn’t need to to do this, but we've been caught out before, as some airlines demand them, so might as well. Holiday coming up!

After her gym class and gym session, JR got the sewing machine out to fiddle around with some jobs that have been pending. Archie and I went up the hill. Very warm. Very windy!

We met a cute wee wiry dachshund, who scooted around like mad and led Archie a merry dance. Look at those ears flying - Archie didn’t know what to make of her. She didn’t want to go away with her dad, who was miles away, calling her.

We met a big group of folk hacking away the huge bushes of gorse and burning it. Good job, as it would just take over eventually. Lots of it has been dug out already. They were a group from the Royal Bank of Scotland, released from their desks for the day to do some community work. At last omething nice to say about RBS...

I gave Archie a haircut in the afternoon.
