Bank holiday Monday and the weather was atrocious! Rain, rain and more rain so we decided to cycle to the swimming baths. Hillcrest swimming pool has lanes, diving boards, a lazy river, a hot pool, a steam room and a sauna, pretty much everyone in Vancouver was there. It was nice to come in out of the rain, and get dry before jumping in the pool, get dry again and have a hot chocolate before getting soaked again on the way home. My skin resembled a wrinkled prune but it was fun, it got us out the house if nothing else. (I should probably mention that there is also an ice rink at Hillcrest community centre and this was our view of little league ice hockey people while we drank our hot chocolates).
