Swapkomund

It had been lovely to be by the sea again after so long in land and to have some time in a hotel room too with a shower and a proper bed! Bliss!

We took the opportunity to purchase souvenirs for family and have a walk around the town. However, the town kept having power cuts, apparently there had been a lorry crash into the sub station just outside the town. We set off for our overnight stop at a campsite not too far from Sossusvlei which is where we spent the first part of my birthday just after lunch.

Our camp was really fantastic, very remote and came with wonderful views and our own personal ablutions (toilet block!) with kitchen attached. We were to bed early as we were planning on being up very early too.
