Crescent Moon

It was lovely to stand in the open window in the dark watching the moon travel across the starlit sky very early this morning. Somewhere  twit twooing in the distance was a tawny owl whose the hooting carried spookily over the fields which were illuminated by moonlight.  This is a little owl fast asleep on it's perch which I wish I could have emulated!

Knowing it was going to be raining when I was free today it seemed a good idea to jump out of bed and at least get a moon shot and as it is in fact true to forecast and raining I've enjoyed faffing.
