Back to School

No photograph today, but a record of a little challenge I've set myself to stop me getting bored on the bike ride to work. Shrewsbury is full of windy streets and cobbled lanes and riverside paths and so I'm going to try and take a different route into work every bike commute day this term.

Such a relief and a joy to be back in the swing of things today. Alone days in the office over the summer have tended to be super long and much harder without people around to bounce ideas off. Today the Ellies were back in and so we were able to have a great time together this morning, thinking, dreaming and planning for the year ahead. I hope I'll never take it for granted having a team as great as this one.

We headed off to our normal student group but soon discovered that college had only started back for first years but a few of our second years (and college leavers) had travelled in especially. It was lovely to catch up with their summer news and even an engagement! Then we had our co-worker Craig join us this afternoon to talk about some of our joint work in schools. Again, so grateful for such a brilliant guy to work alongside.

And before we knew it, it was home time! The joy of having the team back in and lots of work to get on with. SS had made an absolutely bostin' curry this evening which I was super grateful for because I was near comatose on the sofa by 6.30pm stuffing my face with Dutch chocolate.
