Angry Swan

Being our first day back after a busy week being tourists we decided to have a restful day today. Not having a car we made another trip to the supermarket to pick up a few odds and ends to get us through until we pick up a car in a few days.

Naturally we stopped off at the lake to see what was going on. The swan family were sleeping next to the slipway, parents plus four cygnets. Suddenly somebody though a ball for a dog which landed (probably intentionally) near where the cygnets were dozing. One of the parents went dashing down the slipway hissing like mad. Somebody who had been standing on the beach not far from the cygnets, threw the ball back up to the lake side path, so the dog headed back and avoided the fury of the swan. Peace restored, though the family was a bit unsettled.
