Arrival in Lenno

After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel we headed over to the station for our train to Como. Zurich has a large station and there is a huge underground shopping centre. Slightly to my surprise, as most of the journey is in Switzerland, the train turned out to be Italian.

Nice views of several lakes as we made our way southwards. There was quite a lot of rain, and near Zurich it was quite misty. The train was not particularly fast as we made several stops. Having left Zurich at 11:00 we arrived at Como at 14:00. We had a car with driver waiting for us at Como for the transfer over to Lenno. Somewhat strangely the hire car office is closed at the weekend.

In Como it was pouring with rain, but it stopped raining as we headed north up the lake.

In Lenno after checking out the apartment we went down to the Lake, and then stopped off at the supermarket on the way back to get something for the evening meal.

A pleasant meal outside on the terrace as the evening is quite warm. All our plants seem to have survived the summer, though some of them look in need of some care.
