Kingfisher
I left Napier in atrocious weather this morning and arrived home to lovely blue skies and warm weather. That helped take the sting out of fare-welling my Daughter and Grandchildren.
Blipmate was there to pick me up from the airport and very cleverly brought lunch and a thermos of tea. We stopped by Rabbit Island to sit in the warm sun and relax while we ate.
That is where we noticed this kingfisher who was busy fishing from a pine branch. It is not easy to get close to kingfishers and of the many shots I hopefully took, there were only two that were sharp enough.
