Overnight surprise.

One of the cacti which Mrs. K. bought for me last week. Although it was quite small it had a single large bud.
This morning it had burst forth during the night into this splendid flower. It may last just one or two days as it takes a lot of energy to sustain it. The parent plant is in a two inch pot.

Unfortunately it had no label and I will have to wait until I get home to try to put a name to it.

But it made blipping today quite easy.
