Evening Light
I took this picture as we were sitting outside next to the pump house having a glass of wine and enjoying the fact that the pump didn’t keep going on because the leak is fixed. If you look closely you might be able to see two little goldfinches perched right on the pointiest tips on the right side of the big agave.
Whoever put pipes in under the stairs wasn’t very good at geometry and didn’t understand that you can’t shove a triangle into a square, not is putting plastic pipe under huge rock steps, but it is holding for now and the more permanent fix will be done after the Labor Day weekend when the irrigation store is open.
In the meantime, Dan and Tobi are coming for a celebratory dinner of bouillabaisse soon. We went to Santa Rosa Seafood to select sea bass, mussels, clams, prawns and scallops. When I was a child we used to eat fish every week, not because we were Catholic but because it was cheap! Now one has to visit one’s bank manager and take out a loan to get seafood, but it would be worth it at twice the price for Dan’s expertise and confidence. OilMan has the expertise but sometimes tends to out think himself.
It is definitely a case of two heads are better than one...especially if one of them is Dan’s
