Nature taking over.

It was 21st July when I last took a photo of the dried up village pond.
Now nature is taking over, and the weeds/wild flowers are growing up fast.
The only bird I saw was a grey wagtail.
No sign of the ducks or moorhens.
The pond is not fed by a stream, so I think the water must come from an underground spring.
Unfortunately I think it will be a long time before it fills up again.

However the rain we have had in August has meant that the fields are being to green up, and the cows are out again.

For the first day of Autumn it is warm and mainly sunny.
I wonder if we will have an Indian Summer?
