Flowers from California

This poster photograph was sent to me by my friend blipper Wildwood who posted the original on her Blipfoto page last week. I told her that if I saw these colourful Rudbeckia flowers and blue sky on my wall when I woke up in the depths of a Scottish winter, I would be cheered up immediately, but no one was more surprised than I when the postie handed me a package yesterday and inside, my antidote to winter depression. Thank you, Jennie, for your much appreciated gift.

As if to compete with the blue skies in the photo, summer has returned to Edinburgh now that the Festival tourists have gone. His Lordship and I have been able to lunch outside and doze in the sun (not I!). 20° is just perfect.
