From blue sky to...

Every day since I arrived in Australia the sky has been blue. We’ve had some clouds here and there, but otherwise it’s been pretty brilliant weather.

Yesterday it changed. The wind got up and dust covered the kitchen through the screen/open window.

Today the sky is not only cloudy, it’s also got a hue to it caused by dust.

Broken Hill is known for having dust storms, they’re not uncommon (that’s not to say they happen every day, mind). Last night we had what sounded like the heaviest rain, today the wind is fast and the sky is dusty.

I’d love to go for a walk, it’s just not a good day for it.
