The Literary Salon

Took Betsy and her best friend Sam to a Comic Book workshop. It was part of the Richmond Literature Festival, and was held in a pop-up shop called The Literary Salon.

They both had a good time and came out with lots of drawings and strips and templates to use another time.

While they were there I went to every one of the nine charity shops in Twickenham. Sadly the Gods of Thrifting were not totally with me, but I did get a very nice vintage floppy hat which in my head makes me look like BB, but in reality probably makes me look more like Brenda Fricker.

I spent ages deliberating over a pair of black boots in good condition, only £6.50 and so old they had a St Michael label inside. I didn't get them in the end but now wish I had...I never learn. Still mourning a fabulous neon pink watch I saw for £2 in the Cancer Research shop in Teddington - didn't buy it, went back 20 minutes later and of course it was gone. That was eight months ago. I wonder how long I will be thinking about those boots?

Came home and Betsy and Sam have parked themselves in front of the TV in Chris's office for a Supers movie season. They have had Spider-man 3, are now on X-Men. Not sure what is next but I bet I will be asleep before they are.
