Life with The Pinks

Sparklers

We dropped Mr Pink off at the station this morning, as he is off to Edinburgh for work for the next few days. The mini pinks and I got some bits from the supermarket, and then headed home. We did some bits and pieces, homework and the usual.

After the homework was complete, we made a little Guy for the bonfire night tea party at Grandma's house. It really was very cute, the Guy was Christened Simon but Miss Pink had "donated" a pair of holey leggings, so it then became a Guy-girl - a man guy who likes wearing girls clothes. (but before you snigger, it was all very innocent!)

We also made some gingerbread biscuits, to take to the tea party. The mini pinks did a good job of the biscuits.

Then off to Grandmas where we had bonfire tea, jacket potatoes, sausages and beans, with apple pie for pud. And then into the garden for some fireworks. Although my brother had made a little bonfire, Miss Pink would not let "simon" go on it. She had become very attached to the guy-girl, so he/she sat on a nearby log, with the pumpkin lantern beside him/her, and watched the fireworks with us. They were very gentle little fireworks, and it's the first year that the mini pinks have really enjoyed any fireworks. Miss Pink kept shouting "again-again", and Master Pink liked the ones with wooshy bits! They both did well with the sparklers this year, although we kept an extra close guard on miss Pink.

We had a fun night, and the best reaction to fireworks that I've seen yet from the mini pinks. Oh and Simon is sitting on the landing keeping guard over the children's bedrooms!!
