Beside the Seaside

A day at the beach for us today. Coldingham (in spite of the name) is our favourite, and luckily it's the nearest. 

The sun shone, most of the time. The sea was warm enough for Iz to swim, and the rest to splash about.  There was a bit of a breeze and the kites flew well.  Two sandcastles were made and then destroyed. 
 
Rock pools were explored, shells and stones examined.  We even found a crab - which turned out to be dead, and smelly, but still interesting.

Off to Eyemouth for fish and chips, a walk to see the seals and make enough space for ice-cream.  N's was vanilla -  coal black coloured vanilla.  She loved it!

So we all had a wild time, and no-one got crabby .......
