...miss out on the opportunity to dig up a road - these old ceramic pipes are being replaced with trendy new red plastic ones. Jobs for the lads.

I may be on the fuddy side of duddy, but I've never been a fan of plastic - am so glad that our major supermarkets are providing paper bags these days.

Plastic anathema!
