Morning shot
notice the flocks of egrets...

I don't know where the day has gone. I think I've mainly been social.

And I tried to make some pulla ("Pulla is a traditional Finnish sweet bread that is flavored with the unique scent of cardamom. It makes a stunning loaf, or can be baked into individual rolls for easy eating.")

Well the pulla dough didn't rise and the pullas came more like biscuits. They still tasted nice, but nothing like they should. Neighbors still enjoyed. And I showed the picture of real pulla and what it should look like.

My main concern lately has been the water leakages. Many people we know have had terrible water bills (1800€ - 2500€) because the leakage has been underground and no water has come to surface. There are now people who check their water meter everyday to see if there's a leak. The rule is that if it's in your yard, you pay for it. All of it. Repair, water bill, new pipes. And before the financial crash 2008 they made the rubbish pipes perhaps to maximize their profits. It just seems to unfair that you have paid about 300 000€ for your villa and then the pipes last about 15 years. And you are stuck with huge costs. And everyone (even the water company) knows that it's the builders fault, but individuals still have to pay for it. And apparently this is in our area. This one builder.

When we bought our house in the brochure there was mention about pipes how they are good quality. I thought that this is strange pipes are pipes. But apparently we are very lucky to have different kind of pipes. And some of our neighbors and their plumber relatives have confirmed that we in fact have good quality pipes.

But I feel so bad for the people who are now stuck with this problem. We have leakages in the area every day. Every day! It's madness. All that water going to waste in an area where it's really needed, all these (mostly retired) people being stuck with costs coming up to 10 000€. Some people have had 3 leakages in the house aver 15 years, some over 1 day. Madness.
