Snowglobe

We'd planned a boat trip on Staffelsee with S's mum today but a last minute change of plan saw us at Ettal instead and wandering around the Mythos Bayern exhibition (the myth of Bavaria). A really interesting few hours and so many parallels with Scotland it's amazing. The 'snow globe' hosts a modern-tech diorama-type display showing the locations, drawings and final results of King Ludwig's castles both realised and planned. Apparently 1.5 million people visited Neuschwanstein each year which would explain why it was so busy when we drove by last week!
