China meets Japan

Backblip - Saturday at Shrewsbury Folk Festival

The night was freezing in the tent and I kept adding layers as the night went on.

I mooched around the festival site before going into Shrewsbury for the 3 hour pub session that the band was leading. It went well and quite a number of people turned up.

Later in the day I heard various musicians in concert including Guo Yue, (a Chinese master of different types of flute)with Joji Hirota and the Tailko Drummers who are Japanese. 

Later at night, my son and 20 month old granddaughter arrived (her mum couldn't come) and they settled into the tent next to mine.
