River Sunset

Today it was not quite as nice as yesterday as there was a cold wind, but it did clear quite a bit in the afternoon. After going out on the 'pack walk' with the dogs, I sought refuge in a warm bath. This afternoon I tinkered about trying out the macro setting on my new compact camera but ended up taking some sunset shots of the river.
As we are just a little bit upriver from Belhaven Beach the river becomes almost still at high tide and provides an excellent mirror reflection of the sky. As high tide and sunset coincided there were some lovely hues to be seen. The reflection in the water is always that bit darker and more saturated and therefore needs to dominate the scene
