High flyer!

My sister tells me this beautiful flower is called a tithonia and it was looking lovely in the sunshine early this morning with the added bonus of a bee clambering all over it.  It is pretty tall - I was standing up as I took the shot!

Much better weather today and now the evening sky is cloudless and it's getting warmer - hooray!  In my extras I've included a frog sitting on a straw bale (which helps to keep the water clear) in my sister's pond as well as the view you get of her house as you walk down the road.
