Oinops pontos, Sardinia

I know what you are thinking - this is exactly what Homer meant by the wine-dark sea in both The Iliad and The Odyssey

As you know, the wine-dark sea is a traditional English translation of οἶνοψ πόντος (oinops pontos)

Did Odysseus ever visit Sardinia? I don't know: scholars are divided.
