Berry Poisonous

Raw elderberries are poisonous to humans. They contain a cyanide producing glycocide. Their scientific name is Sambucus and yes, Sambuca liqueur does contain a small amount of elderberry. That has certainly been my poison in the past. I can hardly bear to think how awful I felt after consuming flaming Sambucas complete with coffee beans at our neighbours' parties. :( I only partook to try to liven things up.

Long tailed tits seem to love the berries. :)
